RITA forms
Trainees are responsible for ensuring that their RITA/ARCP documentation is available at their RITA interview/ARCP panel
All SpRs, including LATs and FTTAs must have an annual Record of In Training Assessment (RITA). This is organised by the Oxford Deanery and takes the form of an interview to assess progress during the year and to discuss plans for the future. After the interview the RITA form recording your training since the previous interview will be completed and signed by the trainee and the chairman of the interview panel. This is then added to your training record. It needs to be supported by written evidence of what the trainee has done during the year in question and a record of assessments undertaken by the tutor and other trainers in the departments in which you worked during the year.
All StRs, including LATs and FTSTAs must have an Annual Review of Competence (ARCP) as detailed in the Gold Guide. This is organised by the Oxford Deanery and takes the form of a panel which assesses documented and submitted evidence presented by the trainee. This evidence must include the Educational Supervisor’s Structured Report. After the ARCP, the outcome form will be completed and signed by the trainee and the chairman of the ARCP panel. This is then added to your training record.
You are responsible for ensuring that the required documentation is available at your RITA interview/ARCP panel.
Documentation should then be sent to the Deanery RITA/ARCP Administrator at least 2 weeks before the date of your RITA/ARCP.
